Linde Canada, an affiliate of Linde North America, has signed an agreement to supply Liberty Tire with liquid nitrogen for thier cryogrinding processes. Liberty Tire’s Brenner, Ontario facility will be added to an existing long-term LN2 supply agreement that the company has with Linde Canada.

During the cryogrinding process, tire chips are immersed in liquid nitrogen before being put through the size reduction device. The end product is a special grade of crumb rubber used to make rubber cushioning for surfaces, such as sports fields or running tracks.

Liberty Tire also has a crumb rubber plant in Braddock, Pennsylvania.
