Longtime CSA Corporate Sustaining Member and Board Member and Secretary George T. Mulholland, 72, passed away Sunday, August 10, 2008 at Baylor Medical Center in Waxahachie, TX.
A service to celebrate his life was held at 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 15, at the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of Wayne Boze Funeral Home with Rev. Vernon Sansom officiating. Visitation with the family was held from 12:30 p.m. until the time of services on Friday, at the funeral home.
George was born Oct. 4, 1935, in Brooklyn, N.Y., to the late George and Delia Wolff Mulholland. He loved to hunt and talk politics, and enjoyed sports. He served on the school board in Wheaton and he loved to spend time with his grandchildren. George received his bachelors degree in physics from Adelphi University and worked for the Brookhaven National Laboratory in New York for 10 years. He also worked for Fermilab in Batavia for 21 years and worked as a cryogenic consultant at Applied Cryogenics Technology, Inc., for 15 years, which he owned and operated. George also served his country in the Air Force. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Diane Mulholland of Ovilla; his daughter, Gail (Michael) Flaherty of Plainfield; his son, George R. (Virginia) Mulholland of Naperville; his sister, Patricia (Richard) Trzeciak of Clinton, N.Y.; four grandchildren, Megan Flaherty, Kelley Flaherty, Jacquelyn Mulholland and Gregory Mulholland; his cousin, George (Riva) Wolff of Flower Mound, Texas; and close dear friends, Jack and Gwen Hood of Ovilla. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Delia Wolff Mulholland; and his mother-in-law, Vivian Overand.
