Ray Szara, CSA board member, died Tuesday, November 11, 2008.
Szara was a board member of the first incarnation of the Society; later he was at the heart of the re-creation of CSA in
Illinois. He served as Midwest Chapter Chair, National President, Chairman and Treasurer. He supported the Society and took part in all its endeavors enthusiastically. Szara was awarded the Robert Vance award for support of the Society. He also wrote a series for Cold Facts called Cryomusings, reporting on the work he did at the James Franck Institute at University of Chicago
