Oxford Instruments Nanoscience has announced that it recently received the Queen’s Award for Enterprise: Innovation for the development of Triton™200, a cryogen-free dilution refrigerator with an integrated high-field superconducting magnet.

The refrigerator uses innovative technology that allows it to operate without the need for liquid helium, a scarce and non-renewable commodity.  Oxford Instruments developed the Triton200 to be reliable, of lower cost and cheaper to maintain.

“This award recognizes the skill and commitment shown by everyone at Oxford Instruments, and particularly the development team of Triton200, and I congratulate them all,” said Dr. Jim Hutchins, Managing Director of Oxford Instruments NanoScience.
