Anne Roby has been named president of Praxair Asia, where she will be responsible for industrial gases business in China, India, South Korea and Thailand. Roby is currently president of Praxair Electronics, which operates in Asia, Europe and North America. She will retain her responsibilities at Praxair Electronics as she enters her new role.
Roby was appointed vice president, Global Sales, for Praxair in 2009 and became president of Praxair Electronics in 2010. She has been with the company since 1991.
Ricardo Malfitano, Praxair executive vice president, commented that Roby’s expertise and leadership abilities make her the perfect candidate for expanding Praxair’s presence in Asian markets.
Roby earned a bachelor’s degree from Villanova University and a doctorate in chemical engineering from the University of Delaware.
