According to Business Wire, ExxonMobil announced that it plans to build a commercial demonstration plant near LaBarge, Wyoming, that could make carbon capture and storage more affordable, as well as greatly reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

ExxonMobil’s Controlled Freeze Zone(TM) technology is a cryogenic separation process where carbon dioxide is first frozen out and then melted, as well as removes other components like hydrogen sulfide. This technology aims to reduce the cost of removing carbon dioxide from produced natural gas.
