Thermal conductivity of niobium, tantalum, lead, tin

I am interested in the thermal conductivity and other properties of low temperature superconductors. Specifically I am interested in materials like Niobium, Tantalum, Lead and Tin. Would you know of a publication that dealt with thermal properties in general and also gave specific data on these materials?

The Brookhaven National Laboratory Selected Cryogenic Data Notebook (BNL 10200-R, Vol. I and Vol. II) has a lot of data on these four materials. Mine is dated 1980– there may be a later revision. I guess it is available either from BNL or from Brookhaven Science Associates, which is the group that took over management of the lab after Associated Universities, Inc. was fired by DOE. Cryodata (http://www.cryodata.com/) also offers computer data bases and calculation tools for a wide range of materials properties.

I assume that you have searched the “Compendium of the Properties of Materials at Low Temperature” from National Bureau of Standards? I have not used those properties but I believe specific heat and thermal conductivity for the materials you mentioned are included.

One of the more complete compilations of cryogenic data I know of are the Brookhaven Lab’s Bubble Chamber Group Selected Cryogenic Data Notebooks (circa 1960’s) and over the years pages and sections have been added to this AEC supported set of notebooks. I hope this will at least give you a start, one of the compilers R. B Stewart was an affiliate of the NBS.

Have you already looked at the data in NBS Monograph 131 detailing Thermal Conductivity of Solids at room temperature and below? This was assembled by Gregg Childs, Lewis Ericks and Robert Powell. Some data on lead also exists at the NIST Cryogenic Properties website at http://cryogenics.nist.gov/MPropsMAY/material%20properties.htm.
