The Compressed Gas Association announced the winners of the 2008 Safety Awards at the CGA’s Annual Meeting of the Members held on April 21, 2009.
Among the winners was Patrick F. Murphy of Linde North America, Inc. He was chosen for the Chart Industries Award, which is given to one individual who “best exemplifies the character, commitment and excellence prevalent in the volunteers” from the CGA’s member companies. The Charles H. Glasier award for safety leadership in the industrial gas industry went to Rob Early of Praxair, Inc.
The following companies received the Environmental Recognition Awards for projects that were identified as meeting the “environmental excellence” criteria:
- Air Products and Chemicals, Inc (2 projects)
- FIBA Technologies, Inc.
- Linde North America, Inc.
- Matheson Tri-Gas, Inc.
- Praxair, Inc. (4 projects)
