CSA Corporate Sustaining Member Cryocomp recently announced that it has begun stocking evacuation tools for most liquid cylinders and dewars that allow users and owners to evacuate their own tanks. Cryocomp’s line of vacuum interface tools eliminate the need to rely on tank and vessel manufacturers for evacuation, testing and rebuilding. These interface tools are known as vacuum valve operators, but may also be called evacuation fixtures, evacuation valves, evacuation tools or vacuum draw-down tools.
Cryocomp’s vacuum valve operators are available with several options, including ISO flanged outlets, see-through plastic bodies and a threaded port for a thermocouple vacuum tube to monitor the vacuum level. The vacuum valve operators interface with most liquid containers and vacuum jacketed piping systems. They will work on vacuum seal-off valves ranging in size from 1/4″ to 3″ as found on many vessels, such as: miniature oxygen containers, large vacuum vessels (MRI machines and large dewars), VJ piping systems, Taylor-Wharton and Chart liquid cylinders, Caire liquid containers, AI storage cans and many other application specific cryogenic containers.
