The National High Magnetic Field Laboratory (NHMFL) has received a $17.5 million grant from the National Science Foundation’s Division of Chemistry to build a state-of-the-art magnet system. The 21-tesla superconducting magnet will be combined with a small cyclotron spectrometer to yield innovations in the field of chemical analysis.
