The European Superconductivity News Forum has made its special 14th issue available online. The issue is largely devoted to invited papers presented at the 2010 Applied Superconductivity Conference held in Washington DC and is available at: http://www.ewh.ieee.org/tc/csc/europe/newsforum/.
The issue features a representative sample of invited papers from the three ASC ’10 segments: Electronics, Large Scale Applications, and Materials. The Forum has also pre-published 2 of the 6 plenary talks presented at ASC.
The Forum is currently accepting additional invited and contributed ASC ’10 papers to be featured in Issue 15, which will be released in January 2011. The deadline to submit papers is November 20, 2010.
In related news, Dr. Philippe Masson, Senior Research Scientist at the Advanced Magnet Lab (AML), joins the editorial team of the European Superconductivity News Forum as the co-editor responsible for large scale applications of superconductivity. Dr. Masson is the CSA 2010 Roger W. Boom awardee.
