Administrators at the University of Chicago have bid on a management contract for Fermilab, a CSA Corporate Sustaining Member. They hope to build the International Linear Collider, a new multi-billion dollar physics machine at Fermilab. Fermilab’s Tevatron is scheduled to shut down in 2010, at which time CERN will take the lead in particle physics unless the International Linear Collider is sited at Fermilab.
