Valcor Engineering Corporation, a longtime designer and manufacturer of precision fluid and motion control components—including cryogenic solenoid valves—has expanded its in-house testing resources with the addition of a new Vibration Laboratory at its Springfield, New Jersey headquarters.

The new facility provides full 3-axis (X, Y, Z) vibration testing, including sine sweep and random vibration modes, with the capability for active hydraulic or pneumatic flow through test articles during vibration and the ability to thermally condition the unit under test. These features enable Valcor’s engineers to replicate operational environments more closely and verify component durability under demanding conditions typical of aerospace, nuclear, and scientific systems.

According to Valcor, the laboratory eliminates the delays associated with external testing, streamlining the qualification of complex fluid control assemblies. “In-house vibration testing allows us to meet or exceed customer expectations as we ramp up our production rates,” said Leo Loiacono, Vice President of Business & Product Development.

Led by a Senior Dynamics and Environmental Test Engineer, the new lab supports multiple shifts to maximize testing availability. This investment aligns with Valcor’s continuing focus on reliability and performance in critical applications—particularly those involving cryogenic fluids and other extreme environments.

Founded in 1951, Valcor Engineering designs and manufactures solenoid valves, regulators, manifolds, and motion control components for aerospace, energy, and industrial markets worldwide.
