Ratermann Manufacturing, Inc. and Chart Industries, Inc. have entered into a long-term strategic distribution partnership that changes how industrial micro-bulk and portable liquid cylinder tanks are supplied across North America.
Under the agreement, Ratermann Manufacturing will serve as the exclusive North American distributor for Chart’s industrial micro-bulk and portable liquid cylinder tank product lines. Chart Industries will continue to directly support its bulk tank and beverage system portfolios. The partnership is effective immediately and does not involve any ownership changes.
The collaboration is intended to strengthen support for independent industrial gas distributors by improving equipment availability, reducing lead times, and simplifying access to technical expertise and service. By consolidating distribution through a single point of contact, the agreement aims to improve clarity and consistency for distributors sourcing micro-bulk and liquid cylinder storage solutions.
The partnership combines Chart’s engineering and manufacturing capabilities with Ratermann’s nationwide distribution network, technical resources, and customer-focused logistics model. Ratermann will manage inventory and distribution for industrial micro-bulk and liquid cylinder tanks throughout North America, supported by strategic stocking locations in Nashville, Tennessee; Houston, Texas; and Livermore, California. This structure enables delivery timelines of one to two days for many customers.
Ratermann Manufacturing stated that the agreement reflects a continued commitment to the independent distributor market and addresses industry demand for dependable access to equipment and responsive support. Ratermann will continue to offer its Arctic Fox micro-bulk tank line alongside Chart products.
From Chart’s perspective, the partnership enhances its ability to serve the industrial gas distribution channel with improved alignment and focus, while maintaining direct engagement for bulk tank and beverage systems. Both companies emphasized that the agreement is designed to enhance service and availability without disrupting existing bulk tank relationships.
For distributors, the change is straightforward: industrial micro-bulk tanks and liquid cylinder tanks in North America will now be distributed exclusively through Ratermann Manufacturing, while bulk tanks and beverage systems will continue to be supported directly by Chart Industries.
