Hans Quack presented with Mendelssohn Award at ICEC

Professor Hans Quack was presented with the 2008 Mendelssohn Award at the International Cryogenic Engineering Conference in Seoul, Korea. The award is the highest international award in the field of cryogenics, and is named after German scientist Kurt Mendelssohn. Quack worked for Sulzer Brothers Limited, Winterthur, Switzerland from 1973-1993 before becoming Professor for Refrigeration and Cryogenics at the Technische Universitaet Dresden, Dresden, Germany. He was chosen for his outstanding achievements as researcher and teacher.
