The first in a series of cryogen-free systems has been installed in Cambridge University’s Cavendish Laboratory by Cambridge spin-out Dryogenic, Ltd.

Dr. Malte Grosche, reader in the Quantum Matter group, has purchased a DMS-1074 (100mK, 7T sample field) to extend the measurement capabilities of his group working on strongly-correlated-electron systems.  Dr. Grosche is also working closely with Dryogenic on new techniques for thermal properties measurement at ultra-low temperatures.
