Oxford Instruments announced in late January that the company has delivered its 50th Cryofree® dilution refrigerator, which allows for cooling of samples to temperatures below 10mK without the need for liquid helium. This milestone coincides with the company’s 50th anniversary.
The refrigerator was ordered and received by the Laboratory of Mesoscopic and Low-Dimensional Physics in the College of Physical Science and Technology at Sichuan University in China. Professor GAO Jie, a member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering at Sichuan University said the installation went very smoothly and the base temperature and cooling power of the insert exceeded the contract specifications.
Oxford Instruments has received orders for more than 60 systems and reports positive feedback from their customers. More information is at www.oxford-instruments.com.
