Alcor Life Extension in Scottsdale AZ is at the heart of another cryonics battle. Mary Robbins of Colorado Springs, who died February 9th, signed an agreement with Alcor to preserve her head and paid the nonprofit foundation a $50,000 annuity. Her family insisted she changed her mind before her death, but a lawyer for Alcor disputes that. After the El Paso County Magistrate ruled that Robbin’s body was to be handed over to Alcor, the company and the family settled. Alcor will keep Robbins’ head and cremate the remains.
