SciScout LLC recently announced that it has launched SciAnswers, a science-related questions-and-answers site that makes it easy to ask and answer science questions. The site will also allow members to enter a social media environment and ask questions privately, blog, or interact with other members.
All questions are categorized and visitors can search existing questions and answers by keyword or phrase. Members can post answers themselves or debate the answer provided by another member.
SciAnswers is free and aims to “provide a special place for scientific and medical professionals and responsible others to communicate within a ‘Social Media Environment’ without the ‘silliness’ of other sites.”
